Dr Edward McKiernan, P.T., DPT

Dr. Edward McKiernan, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, is a licensed physical therapist with a concentration in orthopedic sports medicine and rehabilitation, with over twenty years experience in treating orthopedic conditions in the out patient setting.  Besides holding a doctorate in physical therapy, Dr. Mckiernan also holds a degree in cardiovascular health and fitness from Northeastern University.  Dr. McKiernan has developed multiple out patient practices including a multi specialty practice "Allied Health and Wellness", with specialties of physical therapy, naturopathic medicine, chiropractic medicine, and nutritional counseling.  Dr. McKiernan is also the designer of the MPT Soft Tissue Tool and has developed the MPT Soft Tissue Method.  The MPT Soft Tissue Tool is a device used to treat soft tissue injury.  The MPT Soft Tissue Tool is currently being used by several MLB, and NHL teams along with current Professional Ski and Snowboard athletes, a member of the U.S. Racquetball Team, and numerous healthcare providers including athletic trainers, occupational trainers, physical therapists, chiropractors and massage therapists.  The MPT Soft Tissue Method is an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) course designed for healthcare provides engaged in the treatment of soft tissue injury.
